A 62 years old male is admitted after a seizure at home. He is a known alcoholic and has recently tried to wean himself off it. His partner reports that he has been shivering and sweating since he stopped drinking. Past medical history includes gastritis and pancreatitis. Drug history consists of omeprazole and thiamine. He drinks about 5 pints of beer per day and has done so since the age of 20. Observations: 109bpm, 99/62, 98% on air, RR16 and temperature 36.5. He is drowsy but responds to voice.
